Grand National Aintree 2022 Matched Betting

Update on the last 3 days at Aintree 2022

So from Thursday 7th March 2022 till Saturday 9th March 2022, I was doing matched betting again for the biggest event of the year the Grand National, so how did I do?

I had a subscription to Profit Accumulator which covered Aintree and Cheltenham 2022 festival so I could see all the offers together.

I joined some new bookies that were offering 8 places for the national, so I knew that Every Places bets was going to be big this year and if you haven’t heard of Every Places this is the simple definition.

Every Places involve placing a bet at the bookies that offers 4 places on a race instead of 3 places like Betfair or Smarkets, so an real example is

I placed a horse Freewheelin Dylan on a bookies site offering 8 places for the Grand National, I put £15 E/W at 51 odds
I lay the win part on Betfair, then lay the place (4 places) part on Betfair
Freewheelin Dylan came in 7 place, so the bookie paid out as a placed horse winning £165

Betfair paid out ALSO as they paid 4 places

Summary of the 3 days

I did hit a total of 6 Every places over Aintree making £1290 and got £140 in free bets, so every places really pay off.

If I had better luck on my side for the National I might have won 5th, 6th, and 8th places as I backed 8 horses for the places (NB I usually back 3/4 horse for the every place race) and target high odds horse. I did have Noble Yeats as a horse so that won at 50/1 but I lay that bet so money make on the winner.

Noble Yeats was the shock winner at the Aintree Grand National at a huge 50/1 price

The jockey was amateur jockey Sam Waley-Cohen (39) and this was his retirement ride as he announced earlier in the week that he would retire following the Grand National final race, Noble Yeats trainer was Emmet Mullins and Sam Waley-Cohen was riding Noble Yeats a horse owned by his father Robert Waley-Cohen.

I will talk first hand experience about my Matched Betting at Cheltenham festival 2022, 2 weeks ago 15th March – 18th March 4 days of horse racing at the Cheltenham festival.

I joined Profit Accumulator for the month to get all the Betting offers for the 4 days and also cover Aintree 2022.

The plan was to do all the refund offers from the bookies for the 4 days and these will change for the Grand National Aintree 2022.

Some of the offers were

£10 free bet if you horse finishes 2nd, 3rd, 4th each day
Bet £20 and get a free bet if 2nd
£10 free bet if 2nd to the SP favourite
Bet £20 once a day for £20 free bet the next day.
Also the Each Places on some of the horse racers
£20 free bet if you get place winner

Matched Betting Bank Setup

For Cheltenham Festival I planned a bank £1000 for the refund offers every day and also a bank of £1500 for the extra place refunds so started with £2500 for the 4 days. You can start with a few hundred for the refund but you soon get in to cashflow issues.

Its been 4 years since I did Matched Betting so I though I have rinsed all the bookie offers, as am gubbed at Betfair Sport, William Hill, Bet365 and a few more but when looking at the signup offers for the festival on Profit Accumulator there a whole new set of bookies I’ve never heard of BreBet, Kwiff, STSBet, Quinn Bet, Virginbet etc

I signed up 2 days before the racing festival and got to use the bonus signup offers, these are extra money from £10 to £40 bonuses which was nice, I used the matched betting software on Profit Accumulator and found near matches for getting the most out the bonuses.

Day 1 of Cheltenham Festival

I made a spreadsheet of all the offers from Profit Accumulator and put all the races 13:30, 14:10 in columns and all the bookies in rows you can get these from the group posts.

There were £160 Free Bets on offer for my bookie, more if your not gubbed.

I make £60 in Free Bets on refunds

Race 2 @ 14:20

There were £100 Free Bets on offer

I made £20 in Free Bets on refunds

Plus I made £180 of Extra Places (This is where the Bookies offer 6 places and you lay at Betfair for 4 places and hope for a horse to finish 4th or 5th for a handsome profit)
